STOMATA VIEWING LAB (as a downloadable PDF)
This lab is for exploring the concept of stomata and the physical changes undergone by stomata in light and dark environments.
“Here is a photo from our photosynthesis lesson. We are looking at the stomata from the undersides of leaves. The students first go outside and get a leaf. Then they paint clear nail polish on the underside. They use packing tape to remove the print/nail polish of the stomata. The packing tape is placed on a slide. This is the image at 400x.”
